Mike, our education officer and bird of prey handler has had to have major surgery so for insurance reasons some of the up close to the birds activities have had to be put on hold.

World of Owls is a charity, we rely on the generosity of you, the public. We have thought long and hard on these prices, to keep them competitive and reasonable. We don’t take wages but we do have high running costs which we receive no help with. Please help us to help them.

It is best to pre-book, as our education officers are not always on site and our animals welfare always comes first.

Hawk Walks: “Temporarily postponed” in the mean time you can contact Hawk Walks NI on 07592160671 to arrange a hawk walk.

These are a brief insight to the ancient art of Falconry. Join one of our Falconers to learn a little background whilst flying one of our hawks to your fist. Exhilarating fun.

These are weather and bird dependant.

Allow up to 2 hours for a Hawk Walk and dress accordingly.

Price: £50+ £25 per extra person accompanying.

(Only available staff and weather dependant and must be pre-booked. We do not fly our birds through their moult so only available certain times of the year)

• Owl Experience: (appointment basis)

Meet and hold some of our owls, enjoy some information from our fantastic education team and don’t forget your camera.

(There is only a certain amount of these we do per day as not to stress our birds, it operates on a 1st come 1st served basis and is only available staff and weather dependant)

• Birthday surprises: 

Parties – We come to you: Were we bring a number of animals to your venue for a fun informative “Deadly 60” type show and tell display, real good fun.

Price: £150 for under 50 persons: There is also a small fuel surcharge depending on your location.

Parties – You come to us: We can provide the venue for you to bring your party to us.

Provide your own refreshments and use our facilities. Includes a guided tour with our experienced education officers and some one to one up close and personal meetings and photos with some of our animals.

Price: 1 to 10 children £60. All Adults/OAP’s are normal admission price.

10+ children is additional £3 per child.

If you want us to cater food for you please call us as there are many themes and options.

• Basic Falconry Lessons: 

World of Owls is the only approved “Raptor Awards” centre in all Ireland.

Learn all you need to know to complete The Basic Falconry Award Certificate, this is recognised by the governing bodies to aid obtaining a bird of prey by individuals.

This is a flexible timed certified course through “Raptor Awards“.
